I have had Blizzak snow tires on my wife’s 2004 Ford Focus Wagon ZTW for three years. This year I had a blow out on the right rear. I went to my dealer to replace the tire and found that Bridgestone had replaced that tire tread with a new model. I purchased one new tire, making sure it was for the left side of the vehicle and replaced that tire by moving the best tire from the rear of the vehicle and putting the new tire on the front. The car handled terribly. I purchased another tire so I would have matching tires on the front and matching tires on the rear. The car handled better until we got icy roads. The car is all over the road. Even the passengers can feel the car wandering. I have put many, many miles on in my life, and I have never experienced this type of a problem. The car handles great in snow and stops very well. But if you get above 45 on icy roads the car is not safe to drive.

Pardon me, in my comments I mentioned it was a blowout on the right rear. It was a blowout on the left rear and I put the new tire on the left front.
